Maximizing Earned Time Credits

First Step Act (FSA) & RDAP Advocacy

Shorten Your Stay Legally

The law provides ways to shorten your stay, but the bureaucratic system doesn’t always make it easy to access or properly calculate them. Understanding the First Step Act and available programming is vital to coming home sooner.

First Step Act (FSA) Eligibility

The FSA allows eligible inmates to earn 10 to 15 days of time credits for every 30 days of successful participation in Evidence-Based Recidivism Reduction (EBRR) Programs and Productive Activities (PAs). We help you navigate the SPARC-13 assessment and ensure you are enrolled in the right courses to earn every possible day of credit toward early release or home confinement.

RDAP Advocacy

The Residential Drug Abuse Program (RDAP) is the BOP's most intensive treatment program. Successful completion can result in up to 12 months off a sentence, plus up to 6 months of halfway house placement.

Entry into RDAP is highly competitive and requires strict documentation of a substance use disorder occurring within the 12 months prior to arrest. If you are eligible, our consultants guide you and your attorney through the stringent documentation requirements to secure a recommendation for the program.
